Misa Telefoni H.T Retzlaff

misatelefoni_232x348Misa Telefoni Retzlaff attended primary school at Marist Brothers' in Apia and attended King's College (Auckland) where he was awarded Scholars and Honours Ties.

He has held various cabinet portfolios in Samoa from 1992-2011 when he retired from politics after 10 years as Deputy Prime Minister. He was Attorney-General from 1986-1988 before entering Parliament in 1988.

He has an LLB (Hons) degree from Auckland University (1974) and was admitted to the Bar in both New Zealand and Samoa.

He is a CPA and was elevated to Fellow Public Accountant (FPA) by his peers in the Samoan Society of Accountants in 2009.

He won the Kelliher Economics Scholarship (NZ wide) in 1969 and won a senior Prize in Law in 1973.

He was chairperson of the Pacific Aids Commission, was President in Office of the ACP (Brussels), and has delivered Public speeches on Good Governance in George Town University( Wasington DC) and Auckland University. He was Pro Chancellor (elect) of the National University of Samoa (NUS) for over 12 years.

Misa is now Managing Director of TeleConsult which accesses expertise in all fields as well as draws on his own experience and qualifications in the law, accountancy and government (economics).
